Alright so, perception, what does it mean? Perception is the sensory experience of the world. The way in which we interpret, understand and feel things. It’s the process or result of becoming aware of objects, relationships, events by means of the senses, which includes such activities as recognising, observing, and discriminating things around us.
As I always say, everyone is different in this world. Everyone has a different mindset, thought process and way of perceiving things. Just think of perception as a lens through which we see the world we live in. Our perception is the reality for us and yes, perceptions keep on changing with time.
We believe what we perceive to be accurate, and we create our own realities based on those perceptions. And although our perceptions feel very real, that doesn't mean they're necessarily factual. Our perception strongly impact how we experience life.
Our perception decides the quality of experiences of our lives. Tomorrow comes and go before you know. That’s why its important to make every moment of our lives worth. So, is there anything like a bad or good perception…??? The answer can maybe a yes or a no because it again depends on your perception.
If you follow a negative perception regarding things, you will most likely react in a defensive, combative, negatively reactive, and victim-like way to whatever situation you’re in. This way of perceiving people can lead to experiencing intense levels of unhappiness, and both inner-personal and outer disturbances. On the other hand yes, there’s always a positive way to perceive things too. Your perceptions affect the quality of your experiences of life. So, if you perceive things in a positive light, you’ll experience a happier existence.
The other case of misperceiving certain situations likely because of previous negative experiences you’ve endured, can also cause you to miss out on some fantastic things life has to offer to you in the future like some joyful moments or relationships. The situations from which we’ve been through keep on remoulding our perception by each moment passing.
Remember that no one is wrong in their own world.
Fear also influences the way we see things around us, but that’s not entirely a bad thing. Like there can be situations where that fear will stop you from doing some stuff because you’ll think its dangerous even if it isn’t and sometimes it can also end up saving you when that certain stuff is actually dangerous. To differ between these two situations, you gotta figure out that how accurate your perception regarding things is.
The experiences from which we’ve been through, the situations from which we’ve been through, the thought process our mind follows, all these kinds of things affects our perception, the way we see this world, everything depends on it.
Age never made a boy a man, neither did it make a girl a woman. Their own experiences and situations from which they’ve been through did. Just as it is said, You’ll never acknowledge a tasty apple unless you’ve had a bad one. Also to draw that line of differentiation of bad and good, that middle line which on one side has bad and the other side is good.
You gotta find that deciding factor for things which are important for you in your life. That might be relationships, studies, work, hobbies or anything else. You gotta understand that like if you go ahead of that certain limit, its a freakin confirmed downfall for you. Some people might not agree with this and that’s completely fine because I don’t agree with it either!!! I am totally against it but deep down we all know that, practically that’s the best way to play it safe.
Like there’ve been situations for me too. I just didn’t ask because I was afraid of the answer. Once I had the courage to ask, well my fear was correct. For me it’s becoming like, whenever I find it difficult to explain myself, I just stay quiet.
There’s no need to make yourself understood by others because the ones who actually care for you will understand you by themselves and it just won’t take that much of an effort.
There are always bad and good times, both are important. Somehow learn to use that experience from your bad days to enjoy your good days even more. Reframe your way of living mentally and physically too. Have the willingness to see things differently. Have compassion for yourself and others too. Be friendly and full of energy.
People around you affect your life a lot. Every person holds a special value in someone else’s life. The power of being able to make someone happy merely just because of your presence is too valuable. That’s why make sure to never misuse it. No matter what happens, never ever leave behind the people who actually care for you because they’re special and valuable.
Not all opportunities are worth waiting. Some of them you just gotta jump and grab because time’s not gonna wait for you. If there’s something that you want and its gonna make you happy, take the risk!!! Because life is too short and happiness is too rare. Don’t hold back yourself and your happiness.
If you’ve ever wondered, we all have patterns of the way we perceive things and think about situations. You somehow gotta spot your patterns. Question yourself that how would someone else would look at the situation you’re in, think about the different ways in which it can be interpreted. This way you’ll be able to think about the situation more critically and less emotionally, your mind will open up to notice things that you may have initially missed because you were always caught in that same patterns of yours.
It’s just us against us. There’s no need to compare yourself to someone else. Everyone in this world is built different. Everyone has a different mindset, thought process and way of doing things. That’s why no one else is your competitor, you gotta compete with yourself with an aim of becoming better than what you were yesterday. Plan out your stuff and then execute it too. Keep the hope alive as long as you are giving it your all.
In the end, there's too much to do and learn in this world and our life might be a bit short to do so. Keep on giving yourself breaks so that you don’t burnout yourself. Spend time with yourself and your loved ones. Make many beautiful memories. Care for everyone, have a lot of friends. Enjoy this life as much as you can and keep on developing. Don’t live in regrets. Try to make the most out of your time. Love your life guys, it's the most valuable asset you’re ever going to own.
